Foi disponibilizada hoje no site do Jon (www.jonmcl.com) a pré-venda do novo álbum Promising Promises, que será lançado dia 22 de maio.

Você pode escolher entre várias combinações, desde o CD apenas com um pôster do álbum para pacotes com o direito de conhecer o Jon em um dos shows (infelizmente, só serve para quem mora nos EUA) ou um vídeo personalizado do Jon tocando uma de suas músicas. Eles irão fazer entrega no Brasil, o preço do frete varia dependendo do pacote que você escolher, eu comprei o Ultimate Bundle B e o frete ficou em U$ 18,63, mas Jon é Jon, qualquer preço a gente paga!

Respostas sobre Promising Promises / Answers about Promising Promises

Na última terça o Jon postou no site oficial um esclarecimento sobre o novo álbum Promising Promises. Ele recebeu muitas perguntas sobre o que esse novo álbum tinha a ver com o lançado independentemente em setembro do ano passado. Aqui vai a resposta dele:

 

“O que fizemos foi tirar três músicas de Forever If Ever e adicionar três novas que eu estava realmente empolgado para lançar. Depois adicionamos a primeira e única Sara Bareilles em “Summer Is Over” e fizemos algumas mudanças na parte instrumental da música também. Então nós remixamos e remasterizamos o álbum inteiro. DEPOIS nós fizemos uma seção de fotos e adicionamos novas fotos e arte na gravação. E no final temos Promising Promises.”

 

O Jon também comentou que está muito empolgado com a nova gravadora, Razor & Tie e que retirar Forever If Ever do mercado no início do ano foi parte do acordo com a mesma.

Anotem na sua agenda, Promising Promises será lançado em 22 de maio.

Last Tuesday Jon posted on his official page some answers about his new record Promising Promises. He received many question about what this new album had to do with the one released independently last September. Here goes his answer:

 

“What we did was we took 3 songs off Forever If Ever and added 3 new ones that I was really excited about getting out there.  Then we added the one and only Sara Bareilles to “Summer Is Over” and we did some tweaks on some of the instrumental parts on that song as well.  We then remixed and remastered the entire record.  THEN we did a photo shoot and added all new pictures and artwork to the packaging of the album.  And in the end, we have Promising Promises.”

 

Jon also commented how excited he is with his new label Razor & Tie and that taking Forever If Ever down at the beginning of the year was part of the deal with the label.

 

Mark it on your calendars; Promising Promises comes out May 22^nd.

Como todos provavelmente já sabem, o Jon assinou recentemente com a gravadora Razor & Tie. O álbum Forever If Ever, lançado independentemente em setembro do ano passado, será relançado com o título Promising Promises em 22 de maio desse ano. Além das músicas do álbum independente, remasterizadas e remixadas, o novo álbum irá conter três músicas inéditas e o dueto do cantor com Sara Bareilles, Summer Is Over. O dueto é o primeiro single lançado do novo álbum e o vídeo clipe será lançado em breve.

A Razor & Tie colocou em seu site a capa do novo álbum, que vocês podem conferir abaixo. Agora é só esperar pelo dia 22 de maio.

As you all probably know, Jon recently signed with the label Razor & Tie. The album Forever If Ever, that was released independently in September last year, will be released in a remastered and remixed version with the title Promising Promises in May 22^nd this year. Besides the songs of the previous album, the new one will have three brand new songs and the singer’s duet with Sara Bareilles, Summer Is Over. The duet is the first single of the new album and the video clip will soon be released.

Razor & Tie has posted on their website the cover for the new album, which you can see below. Now all we have to do is wait for May 22^nd to come.

Jon visita Índia e dá show em escola / Jon visits India and performs at school

Essa semana o Jon postou no Twitter que está na Índia. Ele postou duas fotos da visita, uma dele mesmo e outra do palco da Escola da Embaixada Americana que fica em Nova Deli, onde ele deu um show para os alunos.

This week Jon tweeted that he is in India. He posted two pictures of the visit, one of himself and another of the stage in the American Embassy School in New Delhi, where he performed for the students.
